Easy Campfire Sausage and Veggie Foil Packets

This simple recipe is perfect for beginners and requires minimal preparation. It’s hearty, tasty, and makes clean-up a breeze.

  • Ingredients:
  • 4 pork sausages
  • 2 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 red onion, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, sliced
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley), optional

Method:

Lay out four large sheets of aluminium foil. Divide the potatoes, onion, and pepper evenly between them.

Drizzle the vegetables with a little olive oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper, and herbs if using. Toss lightly to coat.

Add a sausage to each packet, then fold the foil over to seal tightly.

Place the packets on a grill grate over your campfire or nestle them in the hot embers.

Cook for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway, until the sausages are cooked through and the vegetables are tender.

Carefully open the packets (watch for steam!) and enjoy straight from the foil for a true campfire experience.
