With the glorious sunshine we have been having recently I am itching to get my tent out and have the first night outside of the year, waking up to the spectacular dawn chorus in full flow.
Following feedback on our last email we have decided to go ahead with a get together on the 25th April be held at Underhill Farm, Underhill Lane, Pant, Shropshire, SY10 9RB. Hosted by Steve and Irene Evison, founders of Nearly Wild Camping and Kerry Lane.
We will run informal workshop discussions to discuss the future of Nearly Wild Camping, as well as share experiences and advice. The event is open to non-members, though there will be some time for members (shareholders) only. Some of the things we are looking forward to discussing are:
- Other types of accommodation than tents
- Group use and bookings
- What else we can offer
- Non-member campers and location hosts
- Sanitation and setting up a new location
- Sharing learning and good practice
It will run from 11.30am until about 3.30pm on Saturday 25th April. Please bring lunch or there will be some simple food you can buy on the day.
For those who are interested we will be hosting camping overnight and will run a guided walk, and some other activities on Sunday 26th as well as social round the campfire on Saturday evening.
It should be an interesting meeting since we have started to really get some profile and now have over 70 shareholders. So if you are not yet a member, join fast while the lows share price is still on offer.
Details of the venue can be found at www.underhillfarm.org
If you hope to come, we would really appreciate a quick email, just so we can gauge numbers.
